The Windows phone links phone, PC and the web in a way never seen before on a Windows handset.

Windows phone Today screen
Are you all fingers and thumbs? Worry no more; the new handsets have been freed from the shackles of the traditional keypad. What's more, the touch screen is so precise, Microsoft have eliminated the need for a special pen or plastic stylus. To observe the Windows phone in action, swipe your finger upwards to initiate the scroll function. Voila! Fly through your text messages, address books, web pages with ease. This touch screen technology enables you to call up any contact instantaneously, eliminating the need to scroll all the way to the bottom of the list.
Got a lot of photos? You can flip through your pictures just as easily. Just swipe your finger across the screen from right to left and the next picture appears Just like flicking through a photo album! The same feature is used to jump through music and videos; fast forward through the long intro to get right to the chorus of your favourite song.

Start screen with Arad theme
The new Start Screen gives you one click access to all essential mobile services.
Or go to your Today screen, read your e-mail, compose text messages, call a contact, fire-up Internet Explorer, view your calendar, access the Windows Marketplace or change system settings. When you receive an SMS from a friend or your romantic interest, it's twice as nice to have their picture appear as well. Windows phone takes customization to the next level by allowing you to add pictures to your contact list. These pictures can also by synchronised with Microsoft Outlook (on your PC), so your contacts always stay in sync.
Browsing the internet on the Windows phone doesn't restrict you as before; view websites as they were intended with a high resolution, full-screen display. Look familiar? Internet Explorer on the Windows phone is based on the PC version of Internet Explorer 6. Thanks to the phone's faster processor, Flash animation and Javascript mean you will enjoy a fuller, richer internet experience with the Windows phone.

When it comes to gaming, the Windows phone doesn't disappoint. Two well-known titles come preinstalled: SimCity Metropolis and Spore (trial version). In SimCity Metropolis, the President gives you the responsibility of building a new city from scratch. Relying on skill and cleverness, you must build a healthy and happy city for the virtual residents. Just like the popular PC incarnation, the mobile version makes for a very addictive experience.
In Spore you are placed in the shoes of the Creator and set forth on the adventure of life. You begin the game as a single-cell organism and must follow your creation through its story of evolution.
