Bangladesh illegal immigrants nabbed in Kagera, declared PI
1st April 2010 @ 12:00,
[THE Immigration Department in Kagera Region today arrested ten Bangladeshi citizens who were on transit to Dar es Salaam. The arrests were made in Muleba district. Acting Kagera Regional Immigration Officer, Mr Flavian Rwangisa, named the illegal immigrants as Faruck Ahmed (27), Motah Osain (24), Mohamed Abdul (22), Hossain Solaiman (26) and Humayuh Kobir (35). Others were; Abdul Kudilu (26), Sekanda Ally (28), Nasim Abdul (40), Mohami Hudin (29) and Fakhrur Moniar (31). “The illegal immigrants were aboard Mohamed Trans and RS Investment buses heading for Dar es Salaam.
Some of their tickets had local names including Kamugisha, Rweyemamu and Mutayoba. “The suspects had entered the country through Mutukula border without proper immigration procedures and documents,” he said. Mr Rwangisa said the ten Bangladeshi citizens had been declared Prohibited Immigrants (PI) and were immediately returned to Mutukula border. The arrests have come hardly three weeks after other nine Bangladeshi citizens were nabbed on March 9, this year, while hiding in a house at Itahwa village, a few kilometres from Bukoba town.
Mr Rwangisa said the suspects were declared Prohibited Immigrants (PI) and were deported to their country of origin.
Sasa wenye basi wamechukuliwa hatua gani? Hivi kuna sheria zozote ambazo wenye cross border buses wanatakiwa kuzifuata? Inaelekea huu mchezo umeanza zamani Je, kuna ufuatiliaji wa Idara ya uhamiaji kwenye njia nyingine za mabasi au basi tuwaache waingie kiholela kwa sababu tu Tanzania ni shamba la bibi?
