There is something wrong with this picture! I mean the show seems to be too scripted and the allegations against "them" well crafted and technically manipulated. There is an American saying that "if it is too good to be true, probably is".
Since the supposedly death of Gov. Ballali which some of us saw it as a world class scheme to assist him escape the hand of justice in Tanzania to the recent arrests and prosecution of some individuals associated with grand financial robbery from BOT, one thing is shouting for attention. That "thing" is the near perfect execution of anti-corruption movements of DPP and PCCB.
Consider this:
a. The allegations of massive theft from BoT emerges, Ballali is summoned to Dodoma..
b. Few hours letter Ballali is flown to the US (nobody knows exactly when until it emerges that he is not in the country)
c.Ballali is admitted in a "Boston Hospital" for undisclosed illness
d. No one seems to know where he is but several gvt officials were able to visit him (probably were blindfolded)
e. Ballali resigns from his sick bed somewhere in US
f. Nobody knows where he is but the letter of resignation seems to have found its way to the State House.
g. The US government offers to bring Ballali back if requested, the government show no interest
h. The president refuses' Ballali's resignation but fires him (this enables Ballali to not want to come back to Tanzania - he had no reason)
i. The team that was investigating the scandal refuses/ chooses not to interview Ballali.
j. Ballali dies in "Washington DC", "Boston", "at his home", "somewhere in Maryland"..
k. Now the arrests begins...
l. None of the accused seems to try to run away, everybody who is wanted is found and ready to surrender
m. All the accused fail to meet bail conditions, they are thrown in jail (even someone who has every penny to meet his - Mramba)
etc etc...
All this seems to be too perfect.. what am I missing? Something is wrong with this picture!
