India -Tanzania trade volume now at $750 million
Dar Es Salaam (Xinhua): Bilateral trade between Tanzania and India have increased in the past few years and now stands at over $750 million a year, before being expected to increase further in the next few years.
The figure was released by the seventh India-Tanzania Joint Commission on Economic, Technical and Scientific Cooperation meeting.
The joint commission has set forth a target of doubling bilateral trade between the two countries in the next five years.
Tanzania has joined the India-Africa Duty-Free Tariff Preference Scheme which was announced last year by the India- Africa Forum Summit.
India is ranked among the top three countries in both the export and import categories with Tanzania.
