MONTREAL, QUEBEC - MDN Inc. (TSX: MDN) has announced the first results of its exploration program for the Ikungu Project in Tanzania. The 2009 exploration program will be conducted over several months with the objective of determining the size of the mineralized zones and testing them with drilling.
The geological team conducted a first sampling last January and results were found to be encouraging. In the eastern sector, an average gold content of 12.04 g/t was obtained based on 11 grab samples while the average grade found in the West-2 sector was 56.8 g/t gold based on 3 samples. The results for other sectors where samples were taken were as high as 70.1 g/t gold (West-1), 1.62 g/t gold (Centre), and 35.9 g/t gold (North).
